Dawson Leery:
Although perhaps not always appearing so, Dawson is the
show's good guy, who has a seemingly perfect life. A film
buff, Dawson idolises Steven Spielberg, and has developed
powerful skills of perception and analysis for his age. However, he often has difficulty using these skills on
himself and those close to him, which can cause him to
stall when faced with decisions and problems in his own
life.
Joey Potter:
Dawson's closest friend since childhood, Joey has already had to put up with a lot in her short life. Dealing with her mother's recent death from cancer and her fathers imprisonment for trafficking marijuana is not made easier by narrow-minded Capeside residents, who disapprove of her
unmarried sister living and having a child with her black
boyfriend. Someone who always calls it how she sees it,
Joey's realism and down to earth attitude are the perfect
foil for Dawsons rather dreamy, idealistic view of life.
Pacey Witter:
Considered an under-achiever by his teachers, a failure to
his family, and the "class clown" to everyone else, Pacey
is someone who will follow his heart over his head. Although this means he is often put down, when he does triumph it is usually in spectacular style.
Jen Lindley:
Moving to Capeside from New York, Jen is the new girl in town, trying hard to fit in and get her life back on track.˜However this is often hindered because of the difficulty she has making decisions involving her personal life. |
